Schadenfreude

If a picture is worth a thousand words, how much is a word worth?

There are certain smells that take me back to a fond memory; certain songs that tug on my heartstrings but today for the first time that I can remember, a word brought back memories!

Schadenfreude is a German word we borrowed which refers to happiness at someone else's misfortune. You know laughing at someone who trips and falls; someone walking into a glass door, that kind of mean humor.

One of my favorite people on earth taught me this word and hearing it in the play Avenue Q brought back fond memories.

Brunch yesterday at Peaches was really enjoyable. My server Daniel was very attentive and witty.
