Never a dull moment on the A train

From the comedian to the DVD hustler, dancers to the homeless guy or candy man, there is always someone soliciting. When it is not about money (or entertainment, someone is upset that they got pushed on a crowded train.

So this guy comes on the train with either a ventriloquist act or maybe just a speech impediment but all his words were garbled but somehow distinctly able to be deciphered. Actually, it was kinda cool.

Then in plain English he says "you know sometimes I feel yall dont like homeless people but thats ok because thats your right. Everyone has a right to vote and do what they want. Those are your rights. I dont want anyone to feel like I am taking that away or forcing you to give but if you would like to out of the kindness of your heart then please do so."

Chicago unveils a 26 foot statue of the iconic American female

She embraces my philosphy of living life to the fullest with her notable quotes such as: “We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets.” and “You never know what life is like, until you have lived it.”

She was born in LA but Michigan Ave, Chicago boasts a statue of this quintessential American female.

She is the origin of some of my favorite quotes:
“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

Grab life by the horns

Uhm I'm confused...did you mean it literally when you said grab the bull by the horn?

Cloud Gate - Millennium Park - aka The Bean

The sculpture and AT&T Plaza are located on top of Park Grill, between the Chase Promenade and McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink. Constructed between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is nicknamed "The Bean"

The reflective design is s unique and intriguing.

After Sudheer and I decided we took enough pictures at the Bean, we went over to the railing to take more pictures!

We did a little people watching for about two minutes. There is an iceskating rink, families and friends were having a grand old time.
Then we decided to join in! Wow, how inspirational lol! Perfect timing

Quit hanging on to the handrails . . . Let go. Surrender. Go for the ride of your life. Do it every day. (Melody Beattie, "Finding Your Way Home")

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming.

If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again! (NO, it's not that I did not post pics of me falling, I just didn't fall, thank you very much!)

This CHICAisGOing... GOING but not very fast

Chicago views

Enjoying the view. Sudheer met me at my hotel and we headed over to see the Bean. This was my second time seeing the Cloud Gate but it was just as enjoyable this time around.

My hotel was down the block from the opera house.

An overabundance of Walgreens and Chase banks
Not as many fast food restarants as New York. Inactuality, I only saw one McDonalds, I don't recall passing Wendys or Burger King.
Lots of Starbucks and Argo Tea
