Tourist by nature
Regardless of whether I am on vacation or not, I take pictures very frequently. I dont want to be one of those people who dont appreciate where they live. You know, the kind that says, "oh I will go to see the Twin Towers later" and then you know....its not there anymore.
Can you guess where this picture was taken? I lives in NYC for 8 years and its the first time I saw it.....
Give up?

I am soooo over NY!
As if it were not bad enough that I had to take S train to the 2 train to the F train to finally get the A train, I walk to the F platform and I hear waterfalls. I thought "hmm MTA is adding sound effects, not bad!" Much to my chagrin, I get upstairs and there is a guy urinating on the tracks! Seriously? Its 9am, that kind of stuff is a bit more typical (though still not acceptable) at 2am. Weekend travel on the subway system can be so daunting at times, fixing all the tracks at once so no one can get anywhere, who is in charge of this operation. PS MTA you are doing a great job lol!
Then there is the weather issue, you never know if you should bundle up or wear flip flops! Today is actually quite nice for November though.
My love hate relationship continues, E, I may just take you up on your offer, San Diego baby!

A Proverbs 31 woman
http://bible.us/Prov31.15.KJV She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
A virtuous woman who can find? Waking up early to go to the mall, where my maids at?!

Congratulations MTA
My company won the award for best corporation in the region!
As a result of the creation and implementation of innovative small business development programs, the MTA is the recipient of the New York/New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council’s “Regional Corporation of the Year” Award.
“This is a major accomplishment for the MTA,” says Michael Garner, chief diversity officer. “In a very short period of time, we have changed the external perception of the MTA from being anti-small minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business, to a leading driver of innovative and effective change.
Whoop whoop lol!

Be like Daniel: Don't shortchange yourself
What I mean by that is do not sabotage your prayers with negative thoughts and words. Keep praying and decreeing.
There is a biblical story in Daniel 10 which speaks about Daniel praying for something to manifest in his life. In verse 12, the angel explains that from the very first day he prayed, his prayer was heard and answered affirmatively but the angel was held up for 21 days. But there could have been two outcomes:
Life: Daniel persisted and eventually saw the manifestation of what he prayed for
Death: realize that its not happening fast enough, speak contrary to what you are believing for and never see the manifestation of your prayer
Daniel chose life. So many times we are close to the result but then we speak against what we prayed and our angels turn back with the answer. The Bible says that angels hearken to our words. Catch the visual:
Day 1: Lord I know it is your will for me to be healed so I thank you for my healing now {God hears the prayer of faith and releases healing}
Day 2: (cough cough) I guess it isnt Gods will, I am always sick, my health gets worse every year (errrrrkks)
Angels hear a prayer contrary to the answer they were bringing and turn back because faith has left the building
Yes I believe in angels!

Hello World!
Ro: (sees missed call and calls back) Hey whats up?
Dayne: Nothing, I've been calling you for a while
Ro: No, I know. I saw the missed calls but I fell asleep.
Dayne: jeez princess, do you have narcolepsy?
How mean lol! FYI, I dont. But I just saw a Youtube clip about a narcoleptic pup (pass out pooch), I know it sounds funny and for someone who is not an animal lover, I thought it would be but the poor thing would get excited and fall asleep :(

Sunday night I went to bed after 1am,Monday I went to bed after 12. I felt like I slept for 45 mins and then my alarm went off. I was so tired at work. But I had a plan: when the clock strikes 5pm, my computer will be turned off, my bags were already packed and I would be heading to the elevator. Besides a quick stop to UPS everything went according to plan and I was in bed by 630 pm. At 730 pm I woke up, checked the time, went back to sleep and I enjoyed sweet sleep until 430 am, stayed im bed and woke up at 530am with the sweet tune of my alarm.

Wednesday was a really good day. I had a very busy week at work and a very productive day overall.
At lunch time I met up with Julz to go to Macys, I received some awesome deals on kitchen cookware and a bag. After work I met up with a prep school friend, we have been friends since about 6 years old! We went to Lord and Taylor and I bought 2 pairs of boots! After, we raced over to church (the party), I met up with my director to discuss some Kingdom Business.
After the party is the after party, so three of my girls and I went to a super cute Korean spot on 5th ave.
By 12am, I was home, didnt feel tired, read for a bit and a few hours later I woke up to do it all over again but better this time. Five hours of sleep and I feel great!

Reflections
Isn't interesting that we have never seen ourselves? We've never popped our eyeballs out and turned around and looked at ourselves. We can look in the mirror and see our reflection and we have learned to trust it. If the mirror shows us that a hair is out of place we make the adjustment.
Wonder how our spirit looks?! Well, the Bible is a reflection of how our saved spirits look. As a result, if we check the reflection and something is out of place, make the adjustment!!!

Breakfast fit for a first lady
Three course breakfast, first lets start with fruits, OJ, yogurt and cereal to maintain health and then we will get to the good stuff later!
Dont judge me, I just have a healthy appreciation (and appetite) for food!
The mind is a terrible thing to waste pt 2
(Blogged immediately after episode took place... Real time)
It is a huge blessing to have long lasting friendships. At my tender age in preparatory school, I didn't realize that friends were a free gift from God that we had the responsibility of maintaining. In lieu of this knowledge, we did a great job of preserving it, over two decades strong!
Granted, there were times when the business of life would separate us for a while but like a drug addict, we would feel the withdrawal and reach out for another "fix."
There was one long period of time when we didn't speak but after missing my friend, I reached out only to find out the whole thing was a misunderstanding! "Well I thought you...no I thought you!" What a waste in an effort to be magnanimous! We missed out on so many great moments in each other's life.
A trait of the relationship I love the most is the honesty. There was a transparency that allowed us to say anything that had to be said. Sometimes it was something we didn't want to hear but we know it was said in love.
This time was a little different. During this time we epitomized Charles Dickens' famous line "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Our friendship literally felt like a blessing and a curse as it shifted off the firm foundation it was built on and somehow found itself in the theme park of life, first on a rollercoaster. The highs were high, but it would literally be seconds later that we faced the lowest lows. As if we were distressed with a bipolar condition, we would walk away from our banana boat experience hand in hand then to a teacup followed by a free fall. The last fall was critical, the words spoken "at me" were so hurtful that I just stood there waiting for an adjustment on the statement and when nothing was offered, I gathered up the fragments of my soul and proceeded to leave.
I cried several times while we fought, but at the end of the night when the words pierced my soul, I asked two of my nieces to help me get into my very elaborate black and red gown as I stood on the stage of life awaiting my exit music, once again the tears streamed down my face. Who said words could never hurt you? Startled that I was starting to cry when I thought I was already crying, I opened my eyes and realized (thankful that this ended with the words Biggie Smalls started a famous track) "it was all a dream!"
The mind is so powerful, the intensity of the dream forced real tears from my eyes! I am still crying even now when I know it was only a dream, is it though? It's 6:30 am, time to start the real day.

Godliness
Godliness is intentional, not accidental.
It is not the default human setting, it must be set on purpose.

Julz!!!
This is Julie focused on downloading an app I told her about. She came to visit me at home today.
I knew it helps!
For a specific period after returning from China, I was forbidden from giving blood. What are you trying to say? My blood is dirty? There were a list of places in China (and other countries) that could not donate blood, and it was all but two provinces!
As soon as my time was up, I made an appointment to donate, maybe about two months ago. You kinda get an idea that blood banks just store all this blood just in case and, well just in case never comes. I received an email stating that my blood was sent to a local hospital for a transfusion!!!
I knew it would help!

Confession..fear or faith
The thing you fear the most will manifest in your life. God works by faith, satan works with fear. The biggest fear satan puts on people is the fear that what God promised wont come to pass.
Isaiah 41:10
Do not fear....why? God says:
1. I am your God
2. God will strengthen you
3. God will help you
4. God will uphold me
Your body operates by your physical senses so if what your body sees/smells, etc does not line up with what God promised, your body will convince you that the Word of God is not true. Stand on the Word of God even in the face of apparent defeat and you will see the promises!
Live or die, you can't lose! Either way you win!
If you are afraid, it is because you are doubting God. Dont waste a day in doubt or unbelief. Spend your day believing God! The Word works, just stay diligent and faithful! You dont know how close you are, just stay in faith!
Uhmmm...newsflash..summer is over
So why is everyone wearing jeans jackets and light coats when clearly its winter wool and down coat weather? I am not fresh off the boat, I've experienced some horrid winters, I am not burning up in this jacket so I know everyone else is cold lol
Am I the only one who got the memo? Summer is over!

Well thats another way of looking at it
Just got around to reading the Occupied Wall St Journal of Oct 22nd!
The front page has an image of a male and female kissing with stickers on their arm that reads "Make out not war"
