Man in the Mirror

If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change!

I love this video for a number of reasons including:
1. it talks about issues dear to the hearts of Katie and I - poverty, social injustice, compassion fatigue (being tired of doing good or overly exhausted by all the calls to action/help)and on another level it speaks clearly about the Hole in Our Gospel
2. its a great memory of Katie's visit to NYC
3. I heart Michael Jackson
4. It was a lot of fun making the video!

What I think was really interesting is that while I was watching the video on Youtube, there was an ad about sponsoring a child from WorldVision!

Katie, you did a fabulous job of putting it together, thanks!!!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

What do you want to be when you grow up? Well, I would like to be a happy ACE:

I am thankful to God because I lead a very happy life. As I grow older I realize that there are two qualities that matter more than happiness. Introducing Joy and Contentment...

Joy is a state of internal peace regardless of the situation whereas happiness is dependent on the external circumstance. Joy is based on what you know. You can have joy even in the midst of turmoil because you know that regardless of what is going on right now, you will win in the end!

Contentment is being in a state of satisfaction with who you are/aren't; what you have/don't have and not necessarily craving for anything else
