Man in the Mirror

If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change!

I love this video for a number of reasons including:
1. it talks about issues dear to the hearts of Katie and I - poverty, social injustice, compassion fatigue (being tired of doing good or overly exhausted by all the calls to action/help)and on another level it speaks clearly about the Hole in Our Gospel
2. its a great memory of Katie's visit to NYC
3. I heart Michael Jackson
4. It was a lot of fun making the video!

What I think was really interesting is that while I was watching the video on Youtube, there was an ad about sponsoring a child from WorldVision!

Katie, you did a fabulous job of putting it together, thanks!!!

Chinese music in the subway

I seriously tried to come up with a better title to no avail lol. One of the things I love about New York is the free quality entertainment you can get from riding the subway.

I replayed fond memories of China as I waited for the train listening to Chinese traditional music in the West 4th F subway station.

Mayhem in Herald Square

I am saved by the fact that a picture is worth a thousand words because I.have none of my own to spare. I was in the 34th St Herald Square train station, intrigued by the musical melody I walked over to spend some time listening and I was shocked to see the pink monkey and the other fuzzy pink character!

I finally board the downtown F train and a guy comes on the train with a big black dog on his back. He is begging for alms, not for himself, but for the dog because they are homeless!
