Burton comes to visit

My niece took random shots of me

Burton hails from many he has lived in Jamaica, British Virgin Islands, London and DC/VA. Burton and I met when we were approximately 10 years old. He moved from BVI to Jamaica and then left again. It has been over 10 years since I have seen him. We email occasionally and I was very happy that he made the time to visit.

We caught up on life...

He left a few hours later to prepare for work the next day
B. Chalwell, it was great chatting with you!

Malabar Junction - Indian Restaurant

London is known for it's Indian food and I was craving some! After the exhibit at the British Museum, we went to a South Indian (Kerala) restaurant, MalabarJunction.

Five star in the UK doesn't refer to price or prestige, but the Food Standard Rating, i.e., how safe is it to eat it! My cousin, Kiki explained that this is a 5 star restaurant

The bill came to less than 100 pounds. Not bad for 4 adults and 3 children and really delicious food

Kiki's meal

Alyssa and Olivia had the chicken malabar, it was delicious.
£10.95
Curried boneless chicken cooked with spices, tomatoes, and fresh Coconut milk and curry leaves

Melissa's meal - Yummy. Nice and spicy!
£10.95
Marinated chicken cooked with capsicum, spices, ginger, garlic and green chilli
\

Julene had this!
£12.50
An exotic combination of King Prawns and mango cooked in sauted fenugreek, Onion, tamarind and curry leaves and finished with coconut milk

My meal...nice way to sample a bunch! Loved it!

After dinner we took Julene to the train station, and came home and chilled with Kiki and kids. Took good bye pics.

Shortly after Kiki and OT left, my friend Burton phoned that he was on the way.

British Museum

After church, we walked home then my other cousin Kiki and OT came to the house. We got dressed to head to the British Museum.

We had tickets for an Arabian Horse exhibition

My favorite portrait was Ahmed Moustafa called Horse and Horseman. It is entirely in Arabic script and is a  poem describing the horse. The script in the hooves speak to strength, the colors used reference luminosity and a sense of calm.
