Desire + discipline = delight (desire + 0 =defeat)

We see something we want, we get excited that we can have it. We become disciplined about getting it and then after the desire is actualized, we have delight.
Example: weight loss... We know we can achieve it, we go to the gym, pursue better eating habits and over time we are delighted because we have achieved our goal.
Example 2: We know we can achieve it, we dont go to the gym, we make excuses and become slothful in our mentality, we worsen our eating habits or they stay the same, we don't achieve any results and then we are defeated wondering what happened. Well, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Employ discipline in the equation, stop being deep thinking God is just going to shave off 20 lbs while you continue to eat donuts and work towards your goal.
How can we defeat demons if we can't defeat a donut?
Desire is the surge of excitement after realizing the possibility of a goal or promise
Delight is seeing that promise become a reality
Discipline is training or drilling (repeatedly working on something until it becomes second nature) by instruction or a state of order based on submission to authority

Solution for Slothfulness: Diligence

What I love about the Bible is that it never addresses a problem without offering a solution.

Slothfulness is the enemy to my ability to experience God's highest and best.

Hebrews 6:11

Hebrews 11:6

Desire + diligence & faith = delight desired outcome

God grants me the desires of my heart.

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Just one pleasant cycle of desire and delight.

Diligence is key. Failing to do the "right" thing is not usually the issue, but failing to do the right thing consistently is...

Diligence always produces rewards!
