Puerto Plata, DR Day 3

Extreme MegaTours consisted of waterfalls, zip lining and horseback riding. The waterfalls sounded so awesome until we did the one hour + hike before seeing any water :)
I am sure my dad would disown me and confirm his thoughts that I am crazy when he sees the heights from which I jumped off the top of the rock and plunged into the water! It was exhilarating!

After the waterfalls, we went horseback riding.

I ate way too much food, I think all my food is going to come up when I go Zip lining!

That tour was so exciting! Time to shower and head to the beach!

Now where did we get energy to play ping pong?

Puerto Plata, DR Day 2

Puerto Plata, DR Day 1

The girls and I met at the airport early Thursday morning, grabbed breakfast and less than four hours later, we were in the Dominican Republic.

We were greeted by a live band and a scam to pay $10 tourist fee lol.

Uhm, didn't I pay that with my flight, all the taxes and depature fees. It's the funniest thing ever. You walk to a counter and you are handed a tourist card after submitting $10US, about 3 footsteps later, there is a lady serving free rum and coke, 2 steps later, you hand the card that you just purchased back to someone else and then you are allowed to get your passport stamped! What in the world?!

Tired, need a vacation, how convenient!

Yup, that's a real person that's me fast asleep on the beach, I like covers, sue me!

Later, we went to the spa for a sauna/jacuzzi/scrub/massage package and then got ready for the welcome party

Ladika and I went to the beach with a few other people and stayed until after midnight, it was beautiful just watching the stars and the waves crashing.

News in New York

I am aware that balance is the key to life so its not wise to be extreme in certain situations. For example, I think that the majority of NY media presents very subjective content and in my mind, news should be factual and objective. That could potentially be because I am used to Jamaican news "Leroy Jones suffered wounds to the chest, he was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead". No questions asked, no feelings or opinions offered, that's what happened!
Even though I have this view, this is not enough reason to be extreme and state that I do not watch news. However I have more issues with New York news. Serious political news is presented like entertainment, what is considered to be creativity is represented through slang, misspellings and social networking lingo (lol @ rotfl, etc).

Of course there are papers like the New York times and the Wall St journal which offer quality content, but two papers out of more than a handful is very disappointing to say the least.

This rant started yesterday so I cant remember the exact example but i do know that the caption should read ".....that" and it read ".... dat"

Tsk tsk tsk
